He is survived by: his children, Patricia J. Bechtel (Dennis) of Port Allegany, Elizabeth L. Slade (Richard) of Eldred, Richard P. Blackman (Margaret) of Deland, FL and Perry J. Blackman (Judy) of Erie, PA; and his brother Donald Blackman of Ashboro, NC. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
