It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Ellen Spangler of Erie, Pennsylvania, born in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 30, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Hawks and Jennie E. Hawks (Cooper); and her siblings, Elvaria Warner, Phyllis Jumper and Robert Hawks.
She is survived by: her sister Belva Waltemyer; and her daughters, Victoria Taylor, Wendy Brazell, Janie Morgan, Joni Thompson and Lori Spangler. She is also survived by "Nanny" "gram".
The family is asking that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Ruth's honor in lieu of flowers.
