He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy B. Mong and Elizabeth B. Mong. He is survived by: his wife Sally L. Mong (Crook); his son David B. Mong (Linda); his grandchildren, Patrick B. Mong and Jennifer Mong; and his great grandchildren, Chase B. Mong and Abigail A. Mong.
