Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Bessie Lillian Mershimer of Evans City, Pennsylvania, who passed away at the age of 94, on May 9, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Burr and Helen McCormick Burr; and her siblings, Erla Smith and Pete Burr. She is survived by: her children, Douglas Mershimer (Franni), Brian Mershimer, Kathy Henn (Keith) and Thomas Mershimer (Lisa); her grandchildren, Jonathon (Stephanie), Nicole, Jessica Mershimer (Christopher), Josh (Lisa), Rob, Matt, Lucas Henn, Krista and Ryan Mershimer; and her great grandchild Siena Mershimer.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Bessie's honor to either Westminster Presbyterian Church, 330 East Main Street, Evans City, PA 16033, or St. Paul's United Church of Christ, PO Box 252, 127 Constitution Avenue, Connoquenessing, PA 16027.
