He is survived by: his wife Lisa J. Whisel (Calhoun); his son Adam R. Whisel (Megan); his grandchildren, Nolan, Gavin and Georgiana Whisel; his brother Michael Way; his nephews, David and Craig Way; and his niece Bethany Whisel.
