He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan L. "Ipe" Smith, Sr. and Velma Irene (Ritchey); his daughter Kelly Barton; and his brother James A. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Patty (Lynch); his children, Nancy Diehl, Marsha (Jeff Hershberger), Steven Smith (Tim Kleve) and Jenny (Corey Clark); his son-in-law Robert Barton (Wanda); his brother Ivan L. Smith, Jr. (Dorothy); his grandchildren, Emily (Clayton), Courtney (Dakota), Seth, Evan and Erik; his great grandchild Ellie; and his stepgrandsons, Isaiah, Ethan and Noah Clark. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
