She is survived by: her husband Randy Shaffer; her siblings, Charles Cook (Gladys), Clifford Cook (Janet) and Cheryl Maier (Tim); and her siblings' children, Cassandra Fetty (Jason), Callie Krueger (Irvin), Kayla Thompson (Robert), Gina Maier and Rick Maier (Melissa).
The family suggests, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Carrie's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to a local animal shelter.
