He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Owens and Sadie Grovenor Owens; his siblings, Dale Arthur and Alice Lukaschunis; and his niece Wanda Keene.

He is survived by: his sister Elnora Conway; and his sibling's children, Sandy Seaman, Bonnie Owens, Michelle Wayman and Kevin Cook.
