With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James J. Weikert of Fairfield, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank A. Weikert and Elizabeth Weikert (Eck); his wife JoAnne Weikert (Wortz); and his siblings, Donald Weikert and Nancy Kane.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Weikert (Dolores) of Dumfries, Douglas Weikert (Catherine) of Collegeville and Kathy Stahl (Dennis) of Chambersburg; and his sister Betty Ann Cornwell of Fairfield. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (256 Tract Rd, Fairfield, PA 17320). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
