He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Haenel and Barbara Howland Haenel; his brothers, Michael and Gary Haenel; his stepbrother Carl Weingard; and his stepfathers, Kenneth Weingard and Samual Dove.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Ripple Haenel; his daughters, Dawn Teresi (Brian) of Erie and Danyle Cornell (Shawn) of Fairview; his granddaughters, Lauren Teresi (John Lorei), Jocelyn Teresi and Morgan Felmlee (Nathaniel Gay); his sister Gretchen Spurk (Edward) of Columbus, PA; his stepsiblings, Rusty Weingard (Kelly) and Lois Fox; and his siblings-in-law, Ronald Ripple (Ellen Young) and Kelly Mazanowski. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Burton Funeral Home (525 Main St E, Girard, PA 16417). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
