He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Plachter and Dorothea Oakford Plachter. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Stevenson Plachter; and his daughters, Diane Bakerman (Robert) and Deborah Wertz (Martin Murray). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
