He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Elwood and Mary Catherine Elwood (Ortman); and his siblings, Chester Elwood, Kim Elwood and Mary Beth Maxeiner.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Elwood (Dougherty) of Ford City; his children, William J. "Bill" Elwood of Eustis, FL, Richard J. Elwood (Melissa) of Lancaster, KY, Chester F. Elwood (Becky) of Kittanning and Pamela Lacanienta (Ruel) of Cedar Hill, TX; his siblings, John "Jack" Elwood of Kittanning, Robert "Bob" Elwood of Cockeysville, MD and Michelle Grafton (Adam) of Shelocta, PA; and his grandchildren, Brian Elwood (Michelle), Payton Elwood, Adam Elwood, Melanie, Morgan Elwood, Carrie Cockran (Mark), Jonathan Douglass (Cherie), Matthew Douglass (Tori), Shane Lacanienta (Chantelle) and Ryan Lacanienta.
