He was predeceased by : his parents, Roland Hosie and DeSales Curtis Hosie; and his stepchildren, Thomas and Ann Betsch. He is survived by : his close friend Susie Marion; his son Edward J. Hosie Jr.; and his brother Phil Hosie of Nevada. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
