He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank M. Poole and Carolyn Poole (Leidy); and his sister Ellen Quinn (Poole). He is survived by: his sister Deborah Bracken (Poole); his former wife Anne Poole (Pearce); his wife MaryAnn; his daughters, Elyse (Wackerman), Natalie (Butler), Christina, Skip and Patricia Ragg (Greenawalt); his grandchildren, James, Leo, Annie Wackerman, Mollie O'Dwyer, Parker, Lliam, Ella, Finn Greenawalt, Britney June and Skipper Ragg; and his sons-in-law, Paul Butler, John Greenawalt and Daniel Wackerman.
