It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Monto (Forty Fort, Pennsylvania), born in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 7, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Michael Volack and Anastasia Volack (Koshinski); her husband George; and her siblings, Edward M. Volack, Theresa Volack and Norma Romanowski.
She is survived by : her children, Mark Monto (Loriann) and Noelle Ruddy; her grandchildren, Kyle, Laura, Jennifer, Hayley, Ryan and Natalie; and her sisters, Helen Licata, Martha Berti, Leona Romanowski and Sinking Spring. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to concerns arising from the pandemic, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, her Pastor, officiating.
