He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew E. Eckel and Deloris Combs Eckel; his former wife Linda Smith Eckel; his stepson Chad Teribery; and his stepfather Raymond Faller.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Craft; his sisters, Ruth Ruditis (Mike) of Franklin, Frances Sofley (Wilson) of Anderson, SC and Mary Eckel of Douglassville; his sisters-in-law, Donna Cornelius (John) of Franklin and Joyce Hughes (Michael) of Franklin; his stepdaughter-in-law Claudia Teribery; and his stepgrandchildren, Cade and Casey.
