He was predeceased by: his parents, William Swahl and Clara Swahl; and his sister Maryanne Carlberg. He is survived by: his sister Rosemarie Courtney; his wife Vera Swahl; his children, Vera Barnard (Ed) and Bill Swahl (Judy); his grandchildren, Eddie Barnard (Sara), Jenna Barnard, Billy Swahl and Julia Swahl; and his sister-in-law Dolores Galloway (Ken).
