It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Alan Powell (Gettysburg, Pennsylvania), born in Frederick, Maryland, who passed away on February 12, 2020, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mehrl Luther and Alice Katharine Powell. He is survived by: his wife Carol Sharrah Powell; his brothers-in-law, Joseph C. Sharrah of Cashtown, PA and J. Richard Sharrah of Hanover, PA; his stepdaughter Marta Dunn (George Neurauter) of Washington, DC; his goddaughters, Mallory and Michaela Bolesta of Newtown, CT.; and his aunt Thelma Powell of Frederick County, MD.
