With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Joseph Walters Jr. (Gettysburg, Pennsylvania), born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 28, 2019 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Joseph Walters and Ellen A. Walters (Abele); his son James Walters; his granddaughter Patricia Walters Deskin; and his siblings, Ellen Hillegas (William), Margaret Mary Gilitnam (David), Richard Walters (Mary), Johanna Meier (Kenneth), Patricia Krentz (William), Kathleen Messaros (Mike), Theresa Timckik (Joseph), Ruth Francis Walters, Dennis Walters and James Walters.
He is survived by: his son John J. Walters III (Sharon); his stepchildren, Daniel Hillegass (Jennifer) and Michelle Hahn; his grandchildren, Brandon Walters (Jenny), Katherine Walters Newhard (Joshua), Emily Hahn, Pearl Hahn, Jacob Hillegass, Dylan Hillegass and Luke Hillegass; his great grandchildren, Timmy Deskin, Tyler Deskin, Ryan Walters and Cora Marie Newhard; his grandson-in-law Tim Deskin; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy, Charlene and Patricia Walters. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
