He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herbert H. Rhoads and Esther Rhoads (Shumaker); his spouse Elizabeth T. Rhoads (Meter); his daughter Jane Ann Rhoads; his siblings, June R. Thompson, Eileen Rhoads and Herbert H. Rhoads, Jr.; his son William H. Rhoads; and his stepchildren, Patricia A. Simpson and Robert F. Wagaman of Gettysburg. He was also cherished by four step-grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren.
