He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Gilbert and Mary E. Gilbert (Knox); and his sister Ann Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Nancy L. Gilbert (Kime) of Gettysburg; his children, Barbara J. Gilbert (George) of Fairfield, PA, Tina M. Heffner (John) of Gettysburg, PA and Douglas K. Gilbert (Pennie) of Mt. Holly Springs, PA; his grandchildren, Stephen L. Smith, Jr., Kristy L. Zarfoss, Brandi N. Seich, Erica M. Heffner and Daniel R. Gilbert; and his stepgranddaughter Erica M. Cullison. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
