He was predeceased by: his parent Earl Herbert; his daughter Kristin Sue Herbert; and his siblings, Gerry Herbert, Alden Herbert, Michael Herbert and Rosanna Whitted.
He is survived by: his parent Lila Herbert (Strayer); his spouse Jill M. Herbert (Smith) of Gettysburg, PA; his children, Reverend Jeremiah J. Herbert (Cori) of Littlestown, PA and Amy A. Herbert of Gettysburg, PA; his grandchildren, Samuel, Zion, Gabriel and Lila; his brother Darrell E. Herbert (Jeri) of Des Moines; and his child Rodney.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rodney's memory to the Smoky Mountain Children's Home in Sevierville TN to help them continue the vital work with youth and children that Rodney held dear to his heart.
