He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Burns and Mary Burns (Volpe); and his son Joseph Burns. He is survived by: his wife Marsha D. Burns (Yerger); his children, Cathleen Miller (Gary), Thomas Burns (Alicia) and Robert Burns; and his sister Shirley Burns. He is also survived by six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
