It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John J. Swana of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, born in Dudley, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 7, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, John Stephan and Sophie Swana (Vavro); his wife Janice L. Swana; and his siblings, Josephine Vajcovec, Anna Chojnowski, Michael Swana and Frances Swana.

He is survived by : his children, Christine Nordone (Tom Jule), John and Mark Swana (Carla); his friend Rachel Bliss; his grandchildren, Laura (Daniel Temer), Thomas, Nathan Nordone, Danielle, Rosalie Swana, Freda Anderson (Ross Bradley) and Elijah Bliss; and his great grandchildren, Emilia, Ethan Temer and Rustyn Anderson. He is also survived by Friends and family.

John was awarded a patent and further accolades by GE for his contributions to developing one of the first of its kind, a portable Medical Data Acquisition Unit used to record blood pressure, electrocardiogram, and body measurements for quick screenings in a variety of medical applications.
