She was predeceased by: her parents, Dominic Tartaglia and Elizabeth Bowers; her adoptive parents, Paul Sheridan and Mary Sheridan of Wilmington, DE.; her husband Gerald E. Treese; and her siblings, Helen Sheridan Granger, Paul Sheridan and Robert E. Bowers.
She is survived by: her daughter Elayne Treese (Harry Schmidt); her granddaughters, Caitlin and Megan (Michael); her daughter Linda Treese (John Stump); her grandchildren, Lillian and Jack Stump; her daughter Nancy Treese; her grandchildren, Lindsay, Nevin and Janelle Baer; and her great grandchildren, Charlie, Cecilia and Josephine Arcidiacono. She is also survived by her three daughters.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Lou's memory with one of her favorite ways to share love and connection with those closest to her: "take a friend to lunch." And we know she would encourage all of us to keep one of her favorite sayings in our hearts, "don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.".
