It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan H. Hammersla of Glenville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 15, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kammerer and Elizabeth Kammerer (Zimmerer); her husband George F. Hammersla, Jr.; her daughters, Beverly Groft and Donna Marie Powell; her grandson Joseph Harris; and her siblings, John Kammerer, Anna Blake, Bill Kammerer, Charles Kammerer and Margaret Grainger.
She is survived by: her children, John Meeks, Sandra Shatzer and George Meeks (Bonnie); and her grandchildren, Jennifer, Samantha, Greg, David, Michael, Jerry, Tiffany, Ray, Elizabeth, Laura, Ben and Emily. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Panebaker Funeral Home (311 Broadway, Hanover, PA 17331). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Global Methodist Church (55 Albright Dr, Hanover, PA 17331).
