It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John C. Gootz of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry J. Pifferetti and Margaret Pifferetti (Gebhart). He is survived by : his wife Janet L. Gootz (Gaffey); his children, Shawn Gootz, Christina Hudak, Elizabeth Gootz and Johnathon Gootz; and his siblings, Larry J. Pifferetti (Bonnie), Timothy Gootz (Darlene), Paul Gootz, Liz Gootz (James), Delila Pifferetti and Mary Lynn Pifferetti (Shawn). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home, Inc. (516 Stanton St, Greensburg, PA 15601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
