He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Zagar and Sophie Zagar (Popella); and his siblings, Charles, Gerald Zagar and Darlene Koelsch.

He is survived by: his wife Sophia Zagar (Yaksic); his children, Shawn Zagar (Karen) and Lorene Martin; and his granddaughters, Olivia Martin and Jennifer Walters (Adam). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 862, Carnegie, PA 15106.
