He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary A. Hillas; his parents, Roland Hillas and Dorothy Hillas; his siblings, Roland Jr., Robert, Charlotte and Holly; and his daughter Charlotte (Cary).

He is survived by: his brother Conrail; his spouse Dee Hillas (Reiley); and his children, Roger Jr., Susan, Lynn, Heather and Sean. He is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers and donations that those wishing to honor Roger do so by committing to an act of kindness and doing so from the heart.
