He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Thompson and Geraldine Thompson; and his siblings, Beverly, Bonnie, Kenny and Earl.

He is survived by: his wife Tilly; his grandchildren, Michael, Charles, Sarah, Samantha and William; his great grandchildren, Karmen, Dominik, Westyn, Natillie, Parker and Ella; and his siblings, Rodney, Ronald, Barbara Heath, Theresa Moody, Linda Burgess and Dawn Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
