He was predeceased by: his father George R. Smith; and his nephew Nick Severcool. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy A. "Taffy" Smith (Hayes); his wife Shelley Smith; his daughter Tasha Smith; his grandchildren, Nevaeh, Nick and Jaxen; his sisters, Doddie (Peter Mondi) and Tracy (Ron Millard); and his sister-in-law Bobbi Jo Heaman (John Welch). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
