He was predeceased by: his parent John C.; his spouse Margaret E. Barnhart (Rohrbaugh); and his brothers, Cletus L. Barnhart, George H. Barnhart and John J. Barnhart.
He is survived by: his parent Rena E. Barnhart (Bechtel); his children, David C. Barnhart of McSherrystown, PA, Marjorie E. Wentz of Hanover, PA, Nancy L. Bankert of New Oxford, PA and Iva R. Martin of Manchester, MD; and his siblings, Nevin L. Barnhart of Hanover, PA, Earl R. Barnhart of McSherrystown, PA, Gladys Shearer of Hanover, PA and Ruth Grove of York, PA.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
