He was predeceased by: his parent John Edward; his spouse Susan Jane Laster; and his siblings, David Laster, Ernest "Wayne" Laster and Linda Laster.
He is survived by: his parent Ruth Estelle Laster (Walker); his children-in-law, Laurie Burdette, Arthur Burdette of Eldersburg, Donna Ashby, Timothy Ashby of Sykesville, Charles E., Jr and Sherry Laster of Parkville; his siblings-in-law, John Laster, Mary Laster of Pasadena, Doris Brown and Bruce Brown of Davenport, FL; and his grandchildren, Amber Stebbing, Farin Doran, Charles Laster III, Brooke Hamlett, Preston Laster, Johnathan Ashby, Jacob Ashby, Andrew Roney and Brendan Roney. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
