He was predeceased by: his wife Regina E. Miller; his son Edwin Jr.; his grandson Edwin III; his sister Frances L. Miller Yoder; and also Miller III.

He is survived by: his children, Tammy Lavoie of Hampstead, MD, Stephen Miller (Tracey Spera) of Westminster, MD and Lisa Saghy (David Saghy) of Shepherdstown, WV; his sister JoAnn E. Viands of Williamsport, MD; and his significant other Suzanne Thomas of Hanover. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
