He was predeceased by : his mother Pamela A. Kindig (Livelsberger); and his grandparents, Mary K. "Pinky" Livelsberger, Isabel and Glenn Kindig. He is survived by : his wife Kristi M. Kindig (Swope); his father John Kindig; his stepmother Eileen Kindig; his siblings, Cindy M. Klunk, Jeffrey A. Kindig and Stephanie K. Kindig; his nieces, Amy Klunk, Keira Klunk and Chloe Kindig; and his great-nephews, Xzavier and Emerson.
