He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph May and Margaret May (DeGiralamo); his brother Leonard; and his sister-in-law Lana May. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth L. "Betsy" Payne; his children, Crispin D. May (Susan) of Bryn Mawr, Amy May Lowery (Julie Lowery) of Mechanicsburg and Cybele May (Emanuel Treeson) of Los Angeles, CA; his stepdaughter Paige Payne (William Burns) of Dauphin; his siblings, Dominic May (Bonnie) of Prescott, AZ, Catherine Sahadi of North Canton, OH and Barbara Schloneger (Wes) of Canton, OH; his grandchildren, Duncan Shestack (Christina), Rachel Dougherty (Alexander), Tesa Burns (Jonathon Gallaher), George May and Margaret May; and his great grandchildren, Charles Shestack and Alexander Dougherty, Jr..
