He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Wertz and Agnes Wertz (Fochler); his wife Patricia Frank; his daughter Phyllis Brubaker; his siblings, Mary Margaret LeBlond, Walter and George K. Wertz; and his son-in-law Butch Maillard.
He is survived by: his sons, Benjamin Jr. (Wendy), Edward (Barbara) and Ronald Wertz (Cathy Jo). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and a great- great-grandson.
