It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bettijane Hoover Pakyz (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania), born in Klingerstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 1, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Wiest and Vesta Wiest (Paul); and her siblings, Joyce Wiest, Lindy Wiest and Delphin Wiest.

She is survived by: her daughters, Susan A. Schaffner of Etters, Brenda H. Schaffstall of Harrisburg and Jamee L. Rickard; and her brothers, Bernard P. Wiest of Halifax, Kenneth L. Wiest of Mechanicsburg and Arlan G. Wiest of Enola.
