She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Howard Minnich and Minnie May Minnich (Darr); her husband J. W. Shorter; and her nieces, Barbara Waxman (Marc, Brenda Bowman) and Shirley Mumma (Richard, Rosemary Rauch).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg or Hospice of Central PA.
