He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold C. Carstens and Irene V. Carstens (Caswell). He is survived by: his spouse Cigdem Carstens; and his siblings, Tony Carstens, Kathy Carstens Coletta, Jerry Carstens and Vicky Carstens Smith.
