He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Chupa and Mary Chupa (Pavlic) of Summit Hill; and his sisters, Irene Wolf and Elizabeth Martin. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Chupa (Magaro); and his children, Michael (Anna), Francine Welsh (Peter), Janine, Steven (Tanya) and Angeline (Kevin Byrnes).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Cathedral or to the Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (curefa.org).
