She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Charles O. and Deaconess Mattie C. Watson; her sister Thelma A. Gunning (Oscar, Sr.); and her niece Dawn Ramsey-Terrell. She is survived by: her grandson Aajaylah Terrell (AJ); her sibling's children, Oscar Gunning, Jr., Sharon Gilchrist (Charles Wright), Rodney Gunning (Connie), Marla Gunning and Roscoe Gunning (Anique); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Cheryl Gunning, Marti Gunning-Holton (Terry), Janeé Gilchrist-Corbin (Noel), Keisha Gilchrist-Broomes (Chris), Aja Gunning-Paige (Bryan), Aaron Gunning (Tonya), Amber Gunning-Cosme (Juan), Quion Gunning and Qyler Gunning; her cousins, Dorothy "Dot" Patterson and Velma Farquharson; and her friend Dan Wright.
