She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Thomas Vinson; her parents, Mary Oliver and Earl Oliver; her children, Teresa Menke, Terry Ruhl and Tami McNearney; her grandchildren, Amanda Blumenthal, Alex Ruhl, Spencer Ruhl and Ezekiel Menke; and her siblings, Charles Oliver (Freda, Richard Oliver), Albert Oliver (Patti, Warren), Nyoka Shelburn and Loretta Pierce (Dean).
