He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Nissley and Miriam Nissley; and his brother Thomas Ober Nissley. He is survived by: his wife Mary Schreffler Nissley; his children, Lisa Nissley Cole (Robert) of Chadds Ford, Jacquelyn Nissley Becattini (Fernando) of Malvern and John Joseph Nissley, Jr. (Tracy) of Harrisburg; and his grandchildren, John Robert Cole M. D., Benjamin Joseph Cole, Samuel Brace Cole, Sarah Anne Muhlenberg, Jacquelyn Sara Becattini Shortall, Niccolo Fernando Becattini, Katherine Margaret Becattini, John Matteo Becattini, John Joseph Nissley, III, Zoe Alana Nissley and Luke Allan Nissley.
