She was predeceased by : her parents, Richard Fitzhugh and Julia Thompson; her husband Charles Ward; and her siblings, Charles Fitzhugh, Richard Fitzhugh, Mildred Giles and Florence Jett.

She is survived by : her children, Charlene Saunders (Riccardo) of Harrisburg, Ty Ward (Celeste) of Harrisburg, Morris "Lange" Ward (Mia) and Doris Bland; her grandchildren, Kyle Ward, Maurice Ward (Stacy), Tiffany Ward, Terrence Martin, Courtney Anderson, Nakita Ward and Johnele Ponton; her great grandchildren, Kaylani, Kori, Kimorah, Titan, Halo, Caprius, Brya, Mussarh and Khysir; her sister Julia Jackson; and her nieces and nephews, Garland Humpheries, Gary Martin, Robert "Bam" Jackson, Shawn Wilson, Larry Neely and Mike Poole. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wallace Funeral Directors Inc. (106 Agnes St, Harrisburg, PA 17104). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
