He is survived by: his wife Allene S. Gittlen; his daughters, Sharon G. Etter (John Bettinger) and Nan G. Silverman (Bob Beckert); his grandchildren, Jami Friedman (Rob), Linz Haft (Eric), Franki Zimmerman (Aaron), Emily Silverman and Shelby Etter; and his great grandchildren, Tucker Friedman, Mason Friedman and Clover Haft.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gittlen Cancer Fund- 4331 S. Victoria Way- Harrisburg, PA 17112.
