He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Smith and Carrie Smith; and his siblings, Leonard Sims, Jerry and Bonnie Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Veronica Bowers (Bryan); his siblings, Fredrick, Linda, Marilyn, Rita, Michael Smith, Sandra Watlington, Millie Bradley (George), Glenda Oliver and Lori Logan; and his aunt Minnie Grier. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
