It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sylvia Hilty of Harrison City, Pennsylvania, born in Mentcle, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 11, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernesto Centra and Anna Centra Chiappelli (Fioretta); her husband Oren C. Hilty; her stepfather Carlo Chiappelli; her son Joseph; her sister Leona; and her brother-in-law Bud Shank.
She is survived by : her children, Oren "Chuck" Hilty (Alice) of Rostraver and LeeAnna Joslin (Richard) of Penn Township; her brother Carlo "Chip" Chiappelli (Jane Ann) of Nicktown, PA.; her granddaughters, Erin Wilson (Justin), Maria Lesnock, Theresa Yogi (Dev) and Regina Lang (Andy); and her great grandchildren, Audrey Lesnock and Arianna Yogi. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Sylvia's family asks that face masks be worn for the visitation and services.
In lieu of flowers, it was Sylvia's wish that donations be made to the St. Barbara Food Bank, 111 Raymaley Rd., Harrison City, PA 15636.
