He was predeceased by: his parents, Palmer Wilson and Helen Mae Gross (Woolsey); and his siblings, Robert, Franklin, Russell Gross, Nancy Lamey and Shirley Day.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Ann Paige; his son-in-law Verginia (Eugene Houser); his son James A. Gross, II of Millmont; his sister Mary Jane Brungard of State College; and his grandchildren, Stacey (Chad Steininger) of Middleburg and Corey (Chelsea Oberlin) of Middleburg.
