He was predeceased by: his wife Jeannette H. Placek; his parents, Adolph Placek and Zdenka Placek; and also Lida Placek. He is survived by: his children, Doug Placek (Katherine) and Sharon Silvestrini (Edward); and his granddaughters, Regina Silvestrini and Kristina Placek.
